If you don't want to be notified, you can select this as well. Picture - This option is a great because Twitter will put an image in automatically. If you want to make your profile stand out then add a photo of yourself or something related to your industry. A funny picture will work well here too. Again, the point is that you will want to get people to notice you. Design - Here is where you can really get creative. The recommended size for twitter design is 1800 x 1100. You want to place your primary message into the design itself. Place this on the left side and make it about 230 - 250 wide and about 400 high. You can use photoshop or another design program to make it as fun or professional as you like. There are some services out there as well that will do a custom design for about $50.00 - $150.00 on average.|Remember when a friend would send you an email, and you couldn't click-through because it broke? Shortened internet URLs fixed this problem. And though TinyURL, one of the oldest URL shortening services, has been around since 2002, their competition has grown fierce-- and fast. With the advent of Twitter and its 140 characters or less platform, shortening URLs became a no-brainer, and sites all over began popping up to offer this service. I was lucky to interact with @JoshuaOdmark, one of 9mp's management team members, and a complete delight. When I first began tweeting, I wondered if there wasn't a way to increase the relevance of these "TinyURLs." This was my answer. Through my profile page, I can see a list of all my URLs, their shortened versions and how many hits each has gotten. Each listing has a 'link details' button. This takes you to a useful page of information: a thumbnail of your site, tags, description, page type, and even your twitter results.
You also can't change the link later. Another challenge with some of the popular link shorteners is that because spammers have used them to hide URLs they're sending out, they can cause an email to be flagged as spam. Don't use them in your newsletters or autoresponders. However, they work well when you need a super short link for the social networks. If you're using WordPress, the plugin GoCodes is a simple way to shorten links and stay in control of them. It also gives you the ability to edit the link that a shortened link points to. You can install it the same as any other plugin. Go to "Plugins" then search for "GoCodes" then install and activate. This works especially well for affiliate marketers. If I recommend Big Website Host A right now, I can make a short link to my recommended host. If next week, I realize there's something better and decide to recommend Big Website Host B, I can change the link my short link points to and redirect people to the new recommendation. All my short links will still work but they'll point to Big Website Host B instead. A similar option if you're not using WordPress is the free script Shorty. It creates short links on your own URL. There are other options out there as well so just search for free URL shortener scripts and compare your choices. Using your own domain as the base for your shortened links allows you to continue building links to your own website, and building your brand. It also makes the link less likely to cause your newsletter or autoresponder to get flagged as spam.

Always, ALWAYS note that the quote was from YOUR book! Other than the book cover graphic, including a relevant stock or personal photo can help draw attention to the post. Cost: Free, unless you hire a social media expert to manage your networks. Some stock photo images may have fees for licensing. Your book is merely the lead-in and establishes your credibility to speak on the topic. You might even get paid to speak! PR firms. Writing a book is newsworthy and worthy of a press release! But remember that editors want to be able to take your release and drop it into their publication or website with little or no editing. ALWAYS write in the third person! Be clear as to why reading your book is important to the target audience. Spend the most time getting the headline right. It's what will grab the attention of both editors and readers.|It's not exactly a hidden fact that the Internet has the ability to reach billions around the world. Websites and social media accounts have become a must for many brands looking for fame. But for a website to gain some renown, it must first have quality content. Content writing for websites is a well known line of work among freelancers and outsourcing companies. Many businesses hire these professionals to be their ghostwriters. This is because web writing deals with a wide range of jobs-- from blog posts, articles, and copywriting, among various others. For a small price, these businesses can have content made in their name without going through the trouble of writing it themselves. To maximize online exposure, however, the outsourcing team must promote their content through other platforms. Increasing site traffic through optimizing written content for SEO alone is not a feasible idea. It takes too much time and wastes the work put into writing content.
