Gave my wife's Polo to an independent shop, here's how it went

Bit of a story here. My wife's 2018 Polo needed its 60k service and the dealer wanted close to 1800 dirhams which felt insane for what is essentially oil, filters, and a brake fluid flush. I kept hearing about Genuine Volkswagen care at Car AC Repair Sharjah from a couple of guys at my office so I figured I'd give it a shot, worst case I go back to the dealer next time. Dropped it in the morning, they rang me by 4pm, sent photos of everything they changed, and the total came in well under the dealer quote. What actually surprised me was that they flagged a worn engine mount and told me it could wait another six months instead of pushing me to do it right then. That kind of honesty is rare here. Only downside is the location is a bit of a trek from where I stay but I'll take that over being overcharged. Anyone else had a similar experience with independent VW shops or is this a one off?
