Noticed something with my 2018 MKZ. First thing in the morning, the shifts feel sluggish, like the car is half asleep. It holds gears longer than it should and the downshifts are a bit clunky. After about ten minutes of driving everything smooths out and it's fine for the rest of the day. I've asked...

Bit of a story here. My wife's 2018 Polo needed its 60k service and the dealer wanted close to 1800 dirhams which felt insane for what is essentially oil, filters, and a brake fluid flush. I kept hearing about Genuine Volkswagen care at Car AC Repair Sharjah from a couple of guys at my office so I f...

My car's brakes have been making a grinding noise for a few days now and I know I've left it too long. The dealer quoted me a ridiculous amount so I'm looking for something more reasonable. I live in Al Wasl and don't want to drive halfway across Dubai just for brake pads. Has anyone here used a rel...

Bought a used Bentley Flying Spur a couple years ago without getting it checked because I was too excited and the seller seemed honest. Big mistake. Within months the suspension started acting up and the repair bill was insane. Later a mechanic showed me signs of previous accident damage that was ne...

So I needed to add a couple of outlets in my home office and also replace a flickering light switch. I figured it was a small job so I called a few electricians. First one said he couldn't come out for a small job like that. Second one came, looked around for five minutes, and quoted me almost two g...

So last week my 2014 528i started making this weird knocking sound and the check engine light came on. At first I thought it was just bad fuel but it got worse and the car lost power on the highway which was honestly terrifying. I took it to a nearby garage and they kept it for two days, then told m...

Every time I think I've made up my mind I read something that flips me back the other way. Ceramic coating sounds great for shine and easy cleaning but it won't stop a rock chip. PPF protects against physical damage but costs way more and I've heard it can dull the paint slightly. My car is a daily ...

Took the Wrangler out to the dunes near Al Ain two weekends back and ever since there's been this low hum from the rear that kicks in around 60 and gets louder the faster I go. It's not screaming yet but it's definitely new and I don't want to be that guy stranded on the side of the road with a seiz...

So my wife's car has been sitting in the sun for a couple of years now and the headlights have gone completely yellow and cloudy to the point where she's genuinely nervous driving at night, which is obviously not ideal. We're on a bit of a tight budget at the moment so replacing the whole headlight ...

I'm in the market for a couple of heavy-duty platform trolleys for my new warehouse in Al Quoz, and I've been seeing the Mystar brand recommended everywhere for their durability and build quality. The thing is, I've heard some horror stories about people buying knockoffs that look like the real deal...
